Done cleaning, now I need to get back to Quilting!!

My dad is a snowbird in Florida, so this weekend he returned to Northeaster Ohio for the summer.  My winter quilting has kept me from the joys of house cleaning!!  So I needed to do so picking up and cleaning over the past week.  Unfortunately that means that my quilt room now needs reorganized so I can spend some time sewing.  In between my volunteer activities, I need to get in there and find my sewing machine again!!  I post my next project shortly.

Does it count as Mother's Day if your children have four legs?

My husband and I were never blessed with human children.  We do have a few god children and nieces and nephews which we pray for and love.   Right now we are fortunate to have Garfield and Nermal in our lives. 

They keep us entertained.

Not eligible for 2010 Ohio State Football Lottery!!

I was checking today to see if it was time to throw my hat in the ring for tickets this fall. 

After I logged on to the Ohio State Alumni Ticket Lottery site it told me I was not eligible for 2010 Football tickets!!! 

Of course I called the office to find out why.  They informed me that a small number (?) of alumni were not uploaded to the site correctly.  This is being corrected and I should be able to process my request by Monday, May 10th!! What a relief!!!

Eleanor Burns Quilts on American Barns Block 1

Just finished watching Eleanor put together the 18 inch Center Barn Block  http://quiltinaday.com/theater/block/block01.html  It went together pretty easy.

I will be seeing her sister Patricia Knoechel June 4th at the Ashtabula Nazarene Church and that will be my chance to purchase the book and necessary templates and accessories.

This quilt will be an opportunity to use up stash and scraps.  I'm planning to do the wall hanging size which has 6 inch blocks in it.
