I Won the Ohio State Football lottery!!! Purdue tickets!!!

As an OSU Alumni I can order tickets in May and wait to see if I actually get selected to attend a game.  Last night I found out I have purchased 2 tickets to the Ohio State vs. Purdue game on Saturday, October 23rd.  Usually alumni get the non conference games early in the season, but every once in while we get lucky and get a Big Ten game.

College football tickets are not cheap, they are $74 a piece!!  Yes, you are right $148 would buy quite a bit of quilting fabric!!  But the opportunity to see The Best Damn Band in the Land and the Buckeyes in Ohio Stadium once a year is worth it!!

This week I will be selecting quilt tops to take to Columbus to have quilted!!  I have a number to pick from, including a few Scarlet and Gray ones!!!

Three projects from Christmas Fat Quarters!

I purchased 12 FQ's at Cottonpickers Quilt Shop of the new Moda Northwoods Botanical from Holly Taylor.  I made up the center of my Simple Star Wallhanging, and then completed the center of my Christmas Train to Grandma's.  Each block is 8" by 8" and the finished quilt will be 44" by 60".

The remaining pieces were made into the sides for my Christmas Tote.

Each side is 15" by 15"

I will have to purchase some additional yardage to complete the borders and bindings.

Another EQ7 Quilt - Simple Star Wallhanging

I have designed my second EQ7 quilt, it's a smaller version of Simple Star Pattern by Paula Barnes available at Bonnie Blue Quilts I purchase this pattern back in February of 2009 to make my first flannel quilt out of Moda Birchwood Lane.  No it's not quite finished yet!!

Cottonpickers Quilt Shop has the full size version of this quilt which they made out of the new Moda Northwoods Botanical from Holly Taylor.

They were having a special on Fat Quarters so I decided to downsize the quilt to 3" half square triangles.  I have completed the center and need to add the borders.  I have left over fabric from the FQ's and will be making a tote, purse or wallhanging.

Completed my Newport Bag

I completed another purse this morning.  It's a Newport Bag by Pink Sand Beach Designs. Pink Sand Beach Designs

I had hoped to complete it back in May but other projects got in the way!!

It's larger then I thought it would be and handles are shorter then I would like.

It's made of these great batiks by Hoffman that I bought a Cottonpickers Quilt Shop. Cottonpickers Quilt Shop
