Garfield is avoiding the Holiday shipping rush!!

It's the holiday season in the Gerber household and with all the packages coming and going, Garfield has decided to take this opportunity
to try and ship Nermal to Abu Dhabi!! (Again)

Thanks to Terri, Garfield came to live with us 6 years ago, and wasn't he cute!

He has become a big part of this family, literally!!

He is a big boy!!
He is Jim's buddy and not a lap cat!!

When I was laid off in 2009, I needed someone to keep me company
when Jim was at work.
Terri, Cassandra and Richelle found this little guy at the intersection of our road.

Bill said NO to more cats!!  Jim said NO also, but he changed his mind!
Terri said we had to name him Nermal,
the "cutest kitten in the whole world" and Garfield's nemesis.

Nermal has helped on many of my quilting projects.

But at times Garfield and Nermal just don't get along!

So Garfield packed Nermal up for a trip to Abu Dhabi!!

Garfield looks kind of relaxed about the whole situation!!!

So I rescued Nermal and decided to send Jim to New York instead!!

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from Jim, Darlene, Garfield and Nermal !!

Yes there is life after Feathered Star!!!

Thursday I stopped at Cottonpickers to pick up some 50% off fabric for quilt backings.

Beth asked me what I was working on now that my Feathered Peacock Star is at Becky's for quilting.

I'm currently working on two Lisa Moore Quilts with a Twist kits from Alaska for my friend Doris.  She and her oldest son's family traveled to Alaska this past June.  She bought the kits to decorate her basement as a reminder of the trip.

This one has been fussy cut and some of the blocks are together.  The fabric for the outer blocks and the borders on this one are directional so I need to pay attention when putting them together.

This one will be next.  I need to press the fabric and and use template plastic to cut the panel into the correct pieces.  I love how this looks like you are looking through a window!!

I purchased this kit when I was in Alaska almost 5 years ago.  It's finished and I may have Becky quilt them all at the same time.

The Buckeyes Won and so did I, I won the Chili Cookoff!!!

I downloaded these pictures from Facebook, they says it all  !!
We attended the 12th Annual Ohio State vs. That Team from Up North party in Ohio City today.  So while the fans in Columbus where cold in the Shoe we were cold in Ohio City!!

The alumni and fans that put on this party do a great job!!!

Each year they have a Chili Cookoff competition.  I placed second 2 years ago!!

This year I WON  !!!

I was almost more excited about winning the Chili Cookoff then winning the game!!

Oh wait that's just stupid!!

We are undefeated and beat Michigan again!!!

Great season Buckeyes can't wait for next year!!!

Thanks Coach Meyer for a great season!!!

After all it's only 371 days until we play Michigan again!!!
