Sandy's Tote with Zippered Extension

My friend Sandy retired on Friday.  She loves to Sail and also enjoys Hot Air Balloons. so I made her a tote.

I used my Marti Michell templates to make the Sail Boat.

The Hot Air Balloon is a panel left from previous project.

I used Insul Brite so that it can be used to keep her wine and cheese chilled when she sails.

This is the first tote I have made with a Zipper Extension.  I found the tutorial at Mary Grace's blog http://www.hookedonneedles.com/2009/01/tote-bag-tutorial-lesson-6-zippered.html
I also like the way she added the pockets to the lining.

Very cute bag Darlene. As a fellow boater, I think this will be perfect for your friend that likes to sail. I'm sure she'll treasure it always. Great job.
